Nicole has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents and their families in the social sector, public schools and early intervention setting. She feels strongly that every individual has a voice that deserves to be heard, and that the creative process, when supported, can enhance emotional well-being and personal growth. As an accredited art therapist, Nicole endeavours to create a safe space for creative self-expression, where individuals can feel seen, heard and valued.

At KAWA, Nicole hopes to contribute to co-creating a nurturing space for the parent-child to be held and to grow together in confidence, joy and security. Her roots in psychodynamic art psychotherapy have a strong influence on her practice. In particular, Donald Winnicott's quote: 'There is no such thing as a baby. There is a baby and someone.', is a cornerstone of the attachment focused lens that informs her work. Nicole is committed to shifting parenting perspectives from a self-critical to a compassionate stance and supporting parents to be the 'Good enough parent' that they are.
