Child-Life Specialist & Wellbeing Practitioner
Tanuja
Hello! I’m a Child Life Specialist and Wellbeing Practitioner with over 20 years of experience supporting children, families, students, and professionals. My work spans from nurturing the youngest (6 months and up) to walking alongside vulnerable children and families navigating challenges, as well as mentoring and supervising students and professionals in the helping fields.

PLAY SPEAKS by Tanu aims to create a safe and supportive space for children and families. I endeavour to support children and families coping with medical or surgical concerns, big life changes, and overwhelming emotions such as grief, pain, or worry by empowering them with positive coping tools, resilience, and wellbeing practices that encourage growth and healing.
My approach is holistic, gentle, and respectful, drawing from both evidence-based and evidence-informed practices that are trauma-informed, responsive, and always client-led. My guiding belief is to meet people where they are with compassion. I strive to hold space for my clients’ stories and journeys, always with gentleness and respect.
Fun fact: I’m a coffee lover (though recently, matcha has been stealing the spotlight! 😊).

Through this partnership with KAWA, my hope is that we continue to journey alongside clients in ways that feel warm, genuine, and uplifting—meeting them exactly where they are and supporting them with care, resilience, and compassion.

Art Therapist
Kit Louis
Hi, I’m Kit, an Art Therapist with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy, passionate about supporting parents and young children in their emotional and developmental journeys. I use art to nurture parent–child bonding, encourage healthy emotional expression, and provide gentle early intervention when needed.

I also support mothers with postpartum well-being, emotional adjustment, and recovery from birth or other life challenges, using a trauma-informed and compassionate approach. My sessions create a safe space where mothers can slow down, process their emotions, and feel supported as they care for their families.
I believe art can be a bridge — a playful, non-judgmental space where parents and children feel seen and understood. My goal is to help families build confidence, communication, and connection that lasts beyond the session.
A fun fact about me: I love joining my two young sons in their drawing sessions — it’s where I witness their imaginations come alive.
At KAWA, I hope to create moments where families rediscover joy, strengthen bonds, and feel less alone on their parenting journey.
